Evergreen In A Checked Blazer And Velvet Headband

Head to Toe: Turtleneck, H&M // Jeans, Anthropologie // Blazer, Capulet // Headband, Amazon // Earrings, Connie B's Boutique // Boots, Seychelles

Sean and I are big on getting a real tree and garland, but we decided to stick with faux this year since we'll be out of town for the holidays. So it was a real treat to be among the lush greenery and rows of trees at Nielsen's Florist  for this fun blog shoot with Mindy Briar.

It's exactly one week until Christmas Eve, and I'm not sure where the season went. To be honest, I'm ready for a fresh new year—and decade. The urge to check out at work is real, but as a freelancer, I need to keep up the hustle. That said, I want to take some of this time to reflect on the past year and all that has changed in my life and career. And, I want to formulate some thoughtful goals for 2020. Have you made your resolutions yet?

  1. Looove that blazer! Such a gerat look!
And yea, I'm hoping work picks up in the next couple weeks, it's been a bit slow lately and now's not really a good time for me to look for more clients because everyone is lazy this time of year, haha!
No resolutions just yet, I'm so bad at keeping them that I don't even try

  2. What a gorgeous location for a shoot, finding somewhere with the best of the outdoors and the comfort of indoors is pretty nice for these chilly days! I really love this look, it's the perfect amount of festive.

    1. Yesss, Lyddie, this is Nielsen's in Darien. I got some really nice indoor shots in an evening dress in their greenhouse section. Outdoor lighting but it's so warm!

  3. You look like you belong on a Christmas card! I love the location and of course, that beautiful outfit. What a fabulous blazer!

  4. Beautiful photos with adorable smile. So perfect.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I appreciate feedback of all kinds, and LOVE connecting with other bloggers.
