How to Wear Gingham in the Fall

Head to Toe: Blouse, thrifted // Jacket, Target (old) // Jeans, Wrangler // Booties, Nina (similar) // Bag, Ora Delphine // Shades, Vera Wang // Necklace, Alex & Ani.

According to September's runway shows, gingham is here to stay. I had been searching for the perfect picnic-patterned top all summer, and finally found one a few weeks ago. Even though it's a traditionally warm-weather look, I autumn-fide it with a leather jacket tucked into jeans. (I tried to tie it but that just looked too summery.)

Sean and I had a relaxing weekend of October things. We saw Death Day yesterday (great movie, and much lighter than I expected), carved pumpkins and roasted the seeds. On the weekends, I prefer not to wear a stitch of makeup, so for these photos and a lunch out, I opted for a tiny bit of lip gloss and big sunglasses. Because doesn't it feel so amazing to rub your eyes? Happy Sunday, fashionistas!

  4. Sounds like a perfect weekend, and I love the gingham - I think it's just as good as plaid for the fall.
