One of my favorite thrift pieces is a silky vintage blouse. I found this one (I think it’s 1990s) at the Norwalk Goodwill. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I initially liked it. My friend and shopping mate described it as “ugly chic,” and I agree—it reminds me of ceramic tiles. Still, it was half price and ended up costing about $3, so I of course bought it and styled with high waist jeans.
I realized, I think, that while I’m not afraid of color, I don’t typically wear much pattern aside from the occasional stripe. So maybe that’s what is turning me off. But variety is the spice of life, no? Consider this my fashion goal to incorporate more pattern into my wardrobe. Saturday, I’m heading to a wedding and wearing a bright floral dress. I can’t wait to share with you! Happy Easter and Passover to all!

وقد وُجد بق الفراش منذ القِدم، حيث إن علماء الآثار عندما عثروا على واحدة متحجرة منها كانوا قد قدروا عمرها بنحو 3,500 عام، وقد أشار إليها المصريون في الأدب المصري القديم، وقد تم التخلص من بق الفراش في الخمسينيات من القرن العشرين من خلال حملة كبيرة لإبادة حشرات الفراش، ولكنه عاد للظهور بقوة منذ حوالي 15 عاماً، وقد كانت الإصابات بها كبيرة ويصعب علاجها، كما أن 90% منها طورت نفسها لتصبح مُقاومة درجة كبيرة للعديد من المبيدات الحشرية وخاصة البيروثرويدات، ومع دراسة ظهورها من جديد وُجد أنه لا توجد علاقة بين أنواع البق التي تعيش في أجسام الخفافيش والإنسان، إلّا أن الخفافيش تعيش في الكنائس وفي أماكن عديدة حيث يعيش الجنس البشري أيضاً، وبذلك انتقلت هذه الحشرة إلى البشر وأخذت تتأقلم مع بيئتهم.
