According to September's runway shows, gingham is here to stay. I had been searching for the perfect picnic-patterned top all summer, and finally found one a few weeks ago. Even though it's a traditionally warm-weather look, I autumn-fide it with a leather jacket tucked into jeans. (I tried to tie it but that just looked too summery.)
Sean and I had a relaxing weekend of October things. We saw Death Day yesterday (great movie, and much lighter than I expected), carved pumpkins and roasted the seeds. On the weekends, I prefer not to wear a stitch of makeup, so for these photos and a lunch out, I opted for a tiny bit of lip gloss and big sunglasses. Because doesn't it feel so amazing to rub your eyes? Happy Sunday, fashionistas!

You styled the gingham really well, dear. The jacket is edgy and the purse is playful. You look so chic!

Sounds like a perfect weekend, and I love the gingham - I think it's just as good as plaid for the fall.

So glad to hear that gingham is going to be popular through fall - it's my favorite print! I adore this edgy styling of such a classic pattern!
