After two work days in Chicago, I reunited with my cousin Pat who most-graciously hosted me for the weekend. We had a blast hanging out and doing some sight seeing in the city. We toured Millennium Park and took a river boat tour (photos below). I'm digging the city's laid back, artistic vibe (and it's way cleaner than NYC) and would probably think about relocating if it weren't for those Midwestern winters! I'm going to let you be the guinea pig on that one, Patrick.

Chicago: Part One
Head to Toe: Top, Marshall's // Pants, Gap // Heels, Payless // Jacket, Alice and Olivia (thrifted)
This past week I visited Chicago for work-related business as well as some fun time with my cousin who just relocated to the area (more on that next post). I had the most wonderful week exploring a new city and meeting new people. For night one, I went with a group of editors to Coco Pazzo restaurant (I highly recommend). I sported loose slacks and my favorite leather jacket for the Chicago chill. It is windy, after all, although I learned that the wind has nothing to do with the city's nickname. It's called the Windy City after the "windbagger" politicians who lobbied to have the World's Fair held there near the turn of the century. Snapple facts got nothing on me!

Falling
Head to toe: Top, Marshall's // Jacket, Target // Jeans, Continuations Consignments // Booties, Target.
Fall has officially arrived in Connecticut. Crisp mornings and chilly evenings sandwich warm, sunny days. It's my favorite time of the year, fashion choices included. On Friday, I wore my owl blouse to celebrate, and I even pulled out some seasonal chachkis and decorated my apartment over the weekend...Okay, this is sounding like the typical "I love fall post" (only missing a pumpkin spice latte), but I can't help myself! Happy autumn.

Life
Something tells me that the universe wanted me and my loud mouth on that car, and to teach me this lesson: No matter what our personal struggles are, life is fragile and fleeting. All you can do is try to be a good person, and make the best decisions you can, because we only get one shot at this thing called life.
